A business-minded analytics professional with experience utilizing statistical methods and machine learning to extract meaningful insights and create data products from large amounts of customer and operational data.
A high-level description of top qualities; my TL/DR.
I want to find the biggest, highest-value problems and solve those, as soon as possible. I don't require a lot of guidance during the problem-solving process, and I can typically navigate around roadblocks, political or otherwise, in order to get results.
The focus is on quality, but always with an eye on the clock. With a deadline approaching fast, I will make sure that the priorities are handled in order, avoiding distractions that don't have a tangible impact.
My primary concern in education is to gain a solid grasp of the intuition and skills required to practically apply data mining and machine learning techniques for solving real-world business problems.
Special care is often required to double-check my results with tests put in places where I know a bug would manifest into a big problem. Speed is often a priority, but cannot come at the complete sacrifice of meaningful results.
I started my career as an analyst, after studying Business Administration for my undergraduate degree (with formal options in Finance and Information Systems).
I've moved around a lot due to opportunities presenting themselves to me overseas. I was able to gain experience with data science while being an expat in two different countries (Germany and the Netherlands).
Today, I live in the United States, but I'm open to data-centric opportunities in any part of the world.
